Privacy Policy
Thank you for using our application ("No Sugar Challenge"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require users to create an account and we do not collect personally identifiable information such as real names, email addresses, contacts, photos, or precise location data.
However, the App uses certain Firebase services provided by Google to support app functionality and improve stability.
Firebase Crashlytics
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data. This helps us identify and fix technical issues.
Crashlytics may collect:
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App usage data related to crashes
- Crash logs and error traces
Firebase Realtime Database (Leaderboard)
The App uses Firebase Realtime Database to support a weekly leaderboard feature that allows users to compare their progress with other users.
For this feature, the following limited and non-personally identifiable information may be stored:
- A randomly generated anonymous user identifier
- The username (nickname) chosen by the user
- The country code selected by the user (used to display a flag)
- The amount of experience points (XP) earned during the last two weeks
When displayed in the leaderboard, other users may see:
- Your username
- Your country flag
- Your weekly XP score
No email address, real name, precise location, or other personal identifying information is collected.

2. Health and Wellness Data
The App allows users to track personal habits related to sugar consumption, fasting sessions, and progress toward reducing added sugar intake.
This information may include:
- Daily records indicating whether added sugar was consumed
- Fasting session durations
- Body weight measurements
- Progress indicators related to well-being (such as skin, hair, teeth, energy, appetite, or sleep improvements)
- Habit streaks, progress statistics, and experience points (XP)
This information may be considered health and wellness data. These data are used solely to provide tracking features, progress visualization, educational content, and motivational elements within the App.
Health and wellness data entered by the user is stored locally on the user's device. It is not shared with other users and is not transmitted to our servers, except for the limited leaderboard information described above (username, country flag, and weekly XP).
3. How We Use Information
The data collected is used solely to:
- Provide the weekly leaderboard feature
- Display rankings between users
- Improve application stability through crash diagnostics
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
Leaderboard data is automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 days. This ensures that only recent leaderboard information is stored.
Crash data collected by Firebase Crashlytics is retained according to Google’s Firebase data retention policies.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.
6. Security
While no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, we rely on trusted third-party services such as Firebase that follow industry best practices to help ensure the safety of your data.
